I'm Tanya Smith (Pronounced Ton-ya) and I am so excited to collaborate with you to create a high-value, unique event for photographers!

The Mastery Summit: Art and Business for Portrait Photographers, is a 3-day virtual event that’s gonna help photographers elevate their current business and show them what’s possible, without a ton of overwhelm with the help of YOUR actionable steps.

Think of this like an in-person conference where you share your expertise, chat with followers and network with other speakers and attendees…just without the airfare and hotel cost! ;-)

How it will work

Here’s how the Summit will work:

The event will run from September 23-25, 2025

Your Presentation will be pre-recorded, 30-45(ish) minutes in length, and can include promotion of your related freebie.

You will be asked to check in to the attendee Facebook Group from time to time during the 3 days while the summit is live to engage with attendees, answer simple questions, and point them to additional resources you may have.

Leading up to the summit, we’ll have about two weeks of promotion. I have provided email swipe copy, social media swipe copy, and social media graphics to make it all easy. I will have that for you soon

Each speaker is required to promote at least once via email and once on social media to ensure everyone benefits, but anything above and beyond that is totally up to you, your goals with affiliate commissions, and how much you'd like to support the event.

I'll even have a suggested posting/sending schedule for you to make promo easy to outsource to a VA.

I will start promoting on September 5 - you will start on September 8.  I'm starting early to work out any tech issues.

During the promotion phase, as the summit is running, and for a week after the summit is complete, we’ll also be promoting upsells (the BASIC All Access Pass, and the VIP All Access Pass). This includes replays and additional bonuses we’ll all throw in. This will provide immense value to our attendees while making the work of promoting and creating a presentation worthwhile by allowing you to bring in affiliate commissions and grow your email list. Yay!

The experience for attendees:

The people you send to the summit will have a great experience! I want them to feel as fired up as if they attended a live conference.  and I want them to get great info from the speakers (you!) as well as network in the FB group with other attendees and speakers.

1. When they land on the registration page (using your affiliate link) they will enter their name and email to grab their free ticket.

2. They will be taken to a page to offer them the All Access Pass (Basic or VIP) which will give them access to replays as well as LOTS of goodies contributed by speakers, sponsors and me. This is where you will earn your affiliate dollars.  We will be promoting the All Access Pass, before, during and after the summit. If they originally registered with YOUR affiliate link and decide to upgrade anytime within 30 days, YOU will get the credit

3. During the summit, they can watch each presentation for 24 hours for free (unless they purchased an All Access Pass)

4. I'm planning on having high engagement in the FB group during the summit with live events, games, prizes etc. You are welcome to reach out if you want to do a live Q&A relating to your presentation.

What I'll ask of you

So this all sounds great, but what kind of work does it require of you? Let’s chat about it! 

My goal is to make everything easy so we can all enjoy the event while providing immense value and also growing our business.

1. 🚨Basic Information

Your basic info (headshot and bio) is due on or before July 30th. I will send you an easy link for you to submit.

2. 🚨Presentation- Due on or before August 19

Next up is your presentation! This is a 35-45 minute (ish) pre-recorded presentation that is meant to be more friendly and casual than perfect and structured. I talk a lot about not teaching fluff (there is enough of that out there already). I want to make this summit something we will all be proud to be a part of.  

Let’s make sure our attendees learn something valuable, feel encouraged, and have fun in the process.  This is a No-Fluff Summit!

Please structure your content in a way that allows attendees to walk away feeling like they've learned something, rather than a webinar format where they feel like they're missing out unless they buy something from you.


You have your choice of the following presentation formats, based on what works best for you and your topic:

  • Slides
  • No slides (just your face talking to camera)
  • A mixture of the two

No matter what format you choose, you are free to use your presentation however you’d like in the future.


Your presentation should include great, actionable content for PORTRAIT PHOTOGRAPHERS (any/all genres). Here’s the suggested format:

  • A good hook to make attendees want to continue watching
  • A quick introduction to who you are
  • Teaching section
  • 1-3 specific action steps attendees can take (to simplify their existing process)
  • If you want, include 1 or 2 questions to ask attendees to answer in the FB group to boost engagement and interest in your presentation
  • Up to a 2-minute freebie pitch. This is different from your All Access Pass contribution and it's to encourage opt-ins from all attendees to be added to your email list. If you want help coming up with a freebie, reach out and we can brainstorm together- I will also be offering Zoom calls for speakers to help- watch your emails for dates

3. 🚨All-Access Pass VIP Contribution (optional) -DUE with your presentation- on or before August 19

The All Access VIP Pass will be a huge addition to the presentations we’re running. To make it even more valuable and to give you an additional way to grow your email list, I’ll ask each of you to provide one resource to add. 

This includes things like:

  • Templates (these will be the most popular)
  • Workbooks
  • Trainings and workshops (big or small)
  • 1-month memberships
  • eBooks

Note: This converts well, so I do not recommend contributing any 1:1 offers.

It’s totally up to you to decide whether you’d like to create something new or provide something you already have. **I cannot accept percentage-off offers


While it is not required of you to contribute something for the All-Access Pass, it’s a great way to collect hundreds of additional email addresses (because attendees will provide their information to claim your bonus) and it makes it easier to promote since your audience will want what you’ve included.

I will also increase your affiliate commission to 50% (instead of 40%) as an extra thank you!

4. Promotion- SPEAKER PROMOTION STARTS September 8

The power of an online summit comes from a group of experts coming together for a single cause. The joint promotion that happens because of that is a huge benefit to everyone involved.

To ensure this event is beneficial to everyone, speakers are required to send a minimum of one email about the event and post at least once on social media during the promotion period, starting on September 8.  The more you promote, the more chances you have to make sales using your affiliate link. 

Remember, I will have emails, and graphics already done to make it as easy as possible for you to promote (and make money!)

Make sure to share your affiliate link so you can get in on the commission that will come from any sale of the summit upgrades 

Remember, if you choose to contribute a bonus to the All Access VIP Pass, your commission will increase from 40% to 50%. Yay!

I am also happy to collaborate to help you promote. For example, I can come on your podcast, write a guest newsletter, or do a live in your Facebook group (all using your affiliate link) to help you get some extra conversions!

5. Event Participation

And last comes participation during the week of the event. Since we’ll already have done the work of creating the presentations and extra resources, we’ll be able to sit back and relax for the most part!

Affiliate Details

While summits are great for overall visibility and making new connections, a little extra income never hurts either, right? 😉

That’s why I’ve set up an affiliate program for the Mastery Summit where you’ll receive a commission from all sales that you refer to the event. Payouts will be made the week of October 13, 2025

The commission structure is as follows:

  • 40% for all speakers
  • 50% for speakers who include a premium bonus in the All Access VIP Pass

 

The pricing structure for attendees will be:

  • FAST ACTION PRICE: $47 ONLY available 25 minutes after initial registration
  • EARLY BIRD PRICE: $77 available up until the summit starts
  • REGULAR PRICE: $97 Once the summit starts and available until September 28 

VIP All Access Pass

  • FAST ACTION PRICE: $97 ONLY available 25 minutes after registration
  • EARLY BIRD PRICE: $137 available up until the summit starts
  • REGULAR PRICE: $197 Once the summit starts and available until September 28
